FA Cup, time for rotation
We’ve already beat them once this year in Old Trafford, and,
for sure, we are capable of doing it again.
The game comes in a different conjucture for Portsmouth than for us.
They can be totally focused on this game, as they don’t play in any European cups, in the premiership they have nowhere, up or down to go, so they will be fully focused on this FA cup game.
On the other hand, we are coming after a hard game in Champions League, and we are involved in the battle for the first place of the Premiership. That’s why we don’t have to be upset if our engine won’t work at full capacity in this game.
We will probably see some changes: Ronaldo and Giggs might be rested, Scholes could play, Saha also, Park and Pique, but it’s up to Sir Alex to make the team, and we got used to him making the best choices.
I believe we will for sure have the chance to see how Park is doing after he recovered from his terrible injury.
Squad rotation is very important for all big clubs like Manchester. It keeps the players, that don’t play that often, motivated and ready to give 100% when needed.
We have a deep squad, the reserves are not far away (talking about value) from the regulars, meaning that those who are on the bench can succesfully cover the places left open by a regular.
So no matter who will enter the field on Saturday, we should be to much for Portsmouth even if the have they magic t-shirts on…
That’s why Sir Alex is at Manchester since as long as we can remember.
