FA Cup journey comes to an end

Is it possible for a team to dominate the game for the entire 90 minutes but to lose in the end?  We all know it is, and some of us would say that football is not fair.

But it is, that’s why it’s football, the ball is round and anything can happen, that’s why we love the game.

Remember back in 1999 when we were playing Bayern Munchen in the final of the Champions League?  Bayern lead until minute 88, if I remember right, but we managed to win in the final seconds of the game and lifted the trophy.

Of course we can’t say that Bayern was in total control of that game like we were in the game against Portsmouth.  And when you have a referee that almost all of his decisions seem meant to bury you, it’s like playing 11 against 12.

Sir Alex’s opinion about the referee from mutv :
It’s absolutely ridiculous. I just cannot explain that decision. His performance today should not be accepted in our game. I agree with Sepp Blatter, the standards here as opposed to the Continent is behind Europe. It’s a big problem.”

Penalty not given for us, penalty given for our opponent, yellows not given to Portsmouth, a red card for us, little decisions that meant to break our actions and to frustrate us.

The result of Martin Atkinson’s decisions: 75.000 people close to the action were broken hearted, but let’s not forget the other millions worldwide with their hearts close to MU, and of course the frustration and stress that our boys and Sir Alex had to suffer.

Cristiano Ronaldo from mutv:
t’s very frustrating, the referee was unbelievable, he didn’t want to give the penalty, he didn’t want to give yellow cards. I’m very disappointed

Manchester used this team :

Van der Sar (Kuszczak 46);
Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra;
Ronaldo, Hargreaves (Carrick 69), Scholes, Nani;
Tevez (Anderson 68), Rooney.

Booked: Rooney
Sent off: Kuszczak

But we talk in vain now, nothing can be changed anymore.  The important thing is not to be upset with our boys, they made a good game, but everything was against them.

Also, now we can concentrate better on what’s truly important: the premiership (which is more closer now that Arsenal made a wrong step), and the Champions league.

Ronaldo : Manchester comes first

Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo’s form is just exceptional at the moment.  Now he is probably one of the most loved football players in the world.

I’ve seen this happening with many players, from teams worldwide.  One moment they were on top of world, and the next nobody wants them in the team.

That happened mainly because they put their personal interests and accomplishments above teams interests and necessities.

But not Ronaldo.  This is what he declared for mutv: “My colleagues and my friends help me a lot in my season, but the most important thing is to win the games and trophies.

The romours of him transfering to Barcelona for about 30 millions, don’t stand up .

He puts soul in everything he does at United, he gets along well with everybody, he is loved here, and he is aware of that, so he gives everything once he enters the field.
